Getting ready

Let's start at the beginning...oh, wouldn't it be fun to go on a long trip we asked ourselves.  The answer was a resounding YES. We decided to take off in our RV for 5 months, leaving in July and home in December. We had two important events happening on the same day with one in Colorado and one in California so we made the decision for Irene to leave with the RV and Mary Sue to fly 10 days later.

 The planning was fun.  The execution a lot of work.   You know things are getting serious when the frig in the rig looks full and the one at home is bare.

On July 7, Irene took off for Colorado and a reunion in Buena Vista.  It was strange to watch the RV( Teal Baby) and tow car (Buttercup) leave without me.

So much to do and so little time, but I hope I packed all of the right stuff in the RV because it sure won't fit into my carry on bag.
